When I was a young girl growing up on my family's NJ farm, food was always an important aspect of my life. I loved helping my mom cook. In my house everyone congregated in the kitchen, chatting & nibbling together.

On Sunday, we prepared the traditional pasta meal, complete with a huge salad and

piles of greens. Every September we harvested tomatoes and the family would get together

to make home made tomato sauce that

we jarred for the winter. 

But life wasn't always so kind, by the time I was ten, my grandmother had lost both of her legs to amputations from the effects of uncontrolled diabetes. It scared me, and as much as I loved her, I dreaded going there to visit. 

With the knowledge that nutrition was critical to prevent the fate that my grandmother had seen, I enrolled in a nutrition class in college. That is where I found my passion, and what would become my life's work, preventing illness and suffering thru lifestyle and nutrition.

At Rutgers University I earned a BS degree in food & nutrition.

In 1998 became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist(RDN), through

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

I have spent many years working with clients suffering the ill effects of a

SAD (Standard American Diet),

many of whom take burdensome numbers of pills to manage chronic diseases.

But there is another way...

I founded The Well Nourished Life  to help empower women, men and their families to cultivate and sustain a

Well Nourished Life through whole food nutrition therapy, body, mind and spiritual wellness.
